Every review follows the same research-based process. We never accept payment for reviews, and our editorial team operates independently from our business partnerships.
Research sources per tool
The same four phases apply to every tool we review, regardless of category or whether the tool has an affiliate program.
We sign up for the free tier or trial and spend 20–30 minutes exploring the product ourselves. Every review ships with original screenshots from our own account.
We aggregate real user feedback from Reddit, G2, Capterra, Trustpilot, and the tool's own docs. We look for patterns across hundreds of reviews, not cherry-picked opinions.
Every pricing number on the page is verified against the tool's current pricing page. Affiliate commission rates have zero bearing on where a tool lands.
We re-research each review on a regular cadence to catch pricing changes, new features, and shifts in user sentiment. A visible "last updated" date keeps you honest about freshness.
We aggregate feedback from multiple independent sources to build a complete picture of each tool.
Unfiltered user discussions. Users have no incentive to sugarcoat.
G2
Verified B2B reviews at scale. We look for patterns, not cherry picks.
Capterra
Strong for software comparisons and mid-market tools.
Trustpilot
Consumer-facing tools, support quality, billing practices.
Official Docs
Verifies feature claims, changelogs, and current pricing.
Each tool is scored on a 1–10 scale across five weighted dimensions. The numeric score stays in our structured data for Google; what you see on review pages is the qualitative takeaway.
Aggregated ratings and sentiment from independent review platforms. The single most important factor.
Does the tool do what it claims? Are the features well-implemented and reliable in day-to-day use?
Pricing relative to what you get. Free tiers, trial length, and refund policies all factor in.
How fast can a new user get productive? Is the interface intuitive or a frustration tax?
Response times, helpfulness, and the quality of self-serve resources like guides and docs.
Some of the tools we review have affiliate programs, and we earn a commission if you sign up through our links. This funds the site. However, affiliate relationships neverinfluence our ratings or editorial content. Tools without affiliate programs get the same rigor as those that pay commissions, and a tool's commission rate has zero bearing on its placement.
We re-research every review on a regular cadence — typically monthly — to catch pricing changes, new features, and shifts in user sentiment. Each review displays a “last updated” date so you always know how fresh the information is.
